Racking Inspections Across the UK & Ireland by SEMA Approved Inspectors

According to the latest guidelines laid by the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998, all shelving and racks should undergo regular inspections to ensure they are in the perfect working order. At Business Storage Products Ltd, we have SEMA approved inspectors who can inspect your pallet racking and shelving, and generate a report of their condition.

Personnel will:

  • Be able to identify racking damage
  • Know how to categorize it
  • Know what action needs to be taken to reduce the risk / bring the material back into service

Course contents include:

  • Introduction to rack safety, need for rack inspections, current legislation
  • Types of inspection, frequency, records to be kept and action points arising from survey
  • Responsibilities of: everyone - original supplier - the user
  • Types of Racking, component parts and design
  • Damage levels, how to inspect for damage and inspection equipment needed
  • Damage prevention
  • Action on serious incidents

A certificate of course attendance will be issued for each person and lasts for 4 years.
